Thanks for the comment. I agree that the terms intelligence and consciousness get conflated in these discussions. I'm not sure I'd say IIT is silly when applied to virtual machines like AI, though it does seem that IIT predicts no consciousness for a virtual machine; the AI would have to be implemented in a physical way instead of via CPUs.
